4/4 Bets correct, hope you guys enjoyed your winnings! Ill be posting semis soon!
Hey guys! Faded here giving my open predictions on the games REMEMBER THESE ARE BO1, AND UPSETS ARE LIKELY TO HAPPEN E.G YESTERDAY! But i wish you guys good luck!
FNATICvsCLG
fnatic: JW, KRiMZ, pronax, flusha, olofm
CLG: hazed, ptr, FNS, tarik, reltuC
Fnatic showed a dominating performance on Inferno vs Liquid yesterday with a really solid 16-3 to secure them their first and only victory so far after facing the Dreamhack Winter 2014 champions: LDLC and losing 16-9. Despite Fnatic not showing an amazing performance vs LDLC, I can't really see any room for an upset as Fnatic need this win to secure their place in the Semi-finals. They have better teamwork, better individual players and they are overall a much higher tier team than the North American opponents. Arguably Fnatic are top1 in CS:GO and if they can play they whould easily win!
That said, I have seen an extraordinary amount of suprising underdog victories this tournament that are honestly inexplicable. Overall my choice here is Fnatic!
Fnatic - Low Risk
My Bet - Medium on Fnatic
LDLCvsLIQUID
LDLC: shox, NBK, SmithZz, Happy, kioShiMa
Liquid: nitr0, adreN, daps, FugLy, NAF-FLY
LDLC had a rough start yesterday. Played dust2 against CLG, and for those who doesn't know it, CLG = Former Mousespaz & Former netcode guides (except for PTR in NCG) so they're definitely not a bad team, however no one could've predicted that upset but it wasn't really LDLC playing during that match. It wasn't the team that won Dreamhack Winter 2k14. LDLC played a terrible game and it felt like watching an ESEA Pug.
However, they recovered later on against Fnatic and that's a match where we actually saw the LDLC team play like they usually does.
With LDLC coming of a nice win v Fnatic, im calling LDLC to take this, with the current odds there wont be much profit, but some is better than none, im betting High-Medium on LDLC, doubt we would watch them losing this!
LDLC - Low Risk
My Bet - Medium on LDLC
______________
NIPvsKABUM
NiP: f0rest, GeT_RiGhT, Xizt, Maikelele, friberg
KaBuM.TD: FalleN, steel, zqk, boltz, fer
There's not that much to say here. NiP won their first match against Dignitas on de_dust2, close one going into overtime with a final result of 19:17 in favor of NiP. They later on played de_nuke against cloud9. What you could see was that it wasn't NiP playing. They played like crap. None of the NiP players had any energy left to keep on playing and therefore all the stupid plays coming out from their part. However, kabum is a team that I haven't seen much of, and cant really give a top analysis of them. They won against C9 but then again, that was on de_mirage, one of the weakest maps for Cloud9, a map they've never really been strong on but then later on kabum got demolished by Dignitas and we believe that we're going to watch a replay of the Dignitas vs KaBuM.TD match and that Kabum shouldn't stand that much of a chance here. So my here will be NiP, but becuase of Kabum upset im not betting high!
Nip - Medium/High Risk
My Bet - Medium on NiP
______________
CLOUD9vsDIGNITAS
Cloud9: n0thing, sgares, shroud, semphis, ShahZaM
Dignitas: cajunb, device, Xyp9x, karrigan, dupreeh
This is probably the only match i'd recommend putting any kind of high bet on as the current odds (38-62) are a bit low for Dignitas in my opinion. Dignitas are the only team that haven't had an embarrassing match this tournament. They had a very strong game vs NiP but somewhat unlucky as f0rest went huge after what seemed like a convincing comeback for the Danes from a 9-14 scoreline to 14-14. F0rest single-handedly defended the dust2 B site vs 3 Dignitas players. They later went on to smash Kabum, a team that came into the tournament looking rather strong for a team that has yet to show their face in the international scene, with a solid 16-4 yet again on Dust2.
Cloud9 had a poor performance vs Kabum on Mirage (16-4) with the NA team struggling to really get anything rolling in terms of strat execution and site defense. Their win this tournament (every team so far has won and lost a match) came as a bit of a surprise as they took down NiP on Nuke, albeit one of (if not the) best map for c9, with a 16-7 match. However, it didn't really seem like much of a convincing win to us as we saw NiP seemingly not trying all that much in the terms of strat executes. All in all, I don't think the Nuke map draft was a very good idea for NiP as they knew C9 would get to start on the CT side. The other map pick would have been cache which I don't think C9 would've scored such a strong win on. As far as maps are concerned, we should see either a Dust2 or Inferno game - two maps that could be good news for the Danish team.
Due to the odds and how good Dignitas have looked this tournament, my chiose is Dignitas and i suggest a high bet on them. But remember that these matches are BO1 and are high risk.
Dignitas - Medium Risk
My Bet - High/Medium on Dignitas
