Hey Guys! Faded here giving my thoughts and predictions on the Final, and Losers Final!
Unfortunately my prediction of fnatic winning was wrong, their was nothing i could say, NiP played fantastic, and it was a very entertaining game to watch regardless of score!
If you followed my predictions so far in the tournement i have gotten 5/6 correct, and hope you guys have gained profit from these bets, as i have!
Fnatic v Dignitas
fnatic: JW, KRiMZ, pronax, flusha, olofm
Dignitas: cajunb, device, Xyp9x, karrigan, dupreeh
CS:GO Lounge Odds: 79%-21%
My odd : 75-35%
The fight for 3rd place in the amount of $7,500.
Though fnatic showed they werent having the best performance, they managed to put up a REALLY close game vs NiP although they lost. Personally I thought Krimz was a great IGL for fnatic yesterday, with great mid game calls with cluctched some vital round on inferno. Jw wasnt playing that great yesterday with the awp, he missed some vital shots which could hve won them the BO3 against NiP, and fnatic didnt seem to be playing at their best. As for Dignitas, Dignitas have been the most consitant team over the tourny, they havent had a devestating loss, they are capable of many great things. Device has been stepping up recently for Dignitas which helped them get to this position, and Neither fnatic or Dignitas will want to lose.Although fnatic lost to NiP yesterday, NiP are on a whle other level compared to Dignitas, Dignitas did put a really close against NiP on dust 2 earlier in the group stages, but that was in a BO1 situation, where NiP wasnt prepared, and NiP managed to win
Lets go indepth for fnatic! Fnatic haven’t been doing great this tournament, but they’ve been doing alright. They had an easy opening win against Team Liquid, but then lost to LDLC by a large number of rounds on their best map, Inferno. Then they had an easy win over CLG. Finally, they lost to NiP in a very close game. The match against LDLC wasn’t too close, and it was a BO1, but Fnatic should have done better considering the map was Inferno. However, their match against NiP was VERY close. Two of the maps ended 16-14, and just because they lost two matches in a row doesn’t really mean much. JW hasn’t been awping all the time, he actually seems to be using a rifle more than 40% of the time, but when he did pick up the AWP he wasnt the best. Even though they are playing for 3rd place, Fnatic will still try their best just for the sake of it, and third place gets $7,500 prize money.
Now dignitas! Dignitas have been inconsistent this tournament. They lost to NiP 19-17 on Dust2 to start off, but then managed to destroy Kabum 16-4. Then they destroyed Cloud9 EVEN MORE by beating them 16-2 on Dust2. Then they lost all their momentum by losing to LDLC 2-1, losing 16-10 on Dust2, winning 16-14 on Inferno, and losing 16-5 on cache. However this was against the arguably best team in the world, LDLC, so Dignitas didn’t do as badly as the scores suggest. The first two maps were very close, and they almost came back on Dust2 from a 13-2 half. They started T that half of course, because Dignitas have a very strong CT side on most maps that is hard to beat. Device has been doing very well on some games, doing well against NiP, Cloud9, and the first map against LDLC. However on the other games he hasn’t done so well, being near the bottom of the scoreboard. He is Dignitas’s awper, and it will be very important for him to do well against Fnatic if they even want to have a chance at winning. Dignitas also did not play their A-game on the last map against LDLC, so they may not have the greatest morale coming into this match after losing to LDLC.
If we look at past games, with these 2 teams coming together, Fnatic have had no problem dealiing with their strats and their defense. In terms of Maps we will likely see Cache, Mirage, and Inferno.
Fnatic should be able to win this match, as they are the better team in general. They have looked very good in their recent matches, and even though they lost, the games were very close. Dignitas have been doing well this tournament, but it looks like they didn’t bring their A-Game to their match against LDLC, and they may not play well again against Fnatic. JW should be able to win the awp battles against Device, as Device has been pretty inconsistent this tournament and may not play well. The odds are very high for this match, but if you need to bet, place a mid bet on Fnatic as they should have the advantage.
Fnatic - Medium Risk ( DONT BET HIGH, UPSET LIKELY)
My Bet - Medium/Low bet on Fnatic
